December AR Update

New VEX Teams...

It is great to be back into the swing of Robotics this fall. We have a whole new lineup of programs, some of which are delayed do to material shortages, but we were able to launch our new VEX programs for our 4th through 8th grade students. For our K-3rd Grade students we have switched to VEX 1-2-3 and VEX GO. Kits are backordered, so these programs are a little delayed in getting started. For our 4-5th Grade students, we have transitioned into the VEX IQ Program. For our 6-8th Grade Middle School students, we have an all new VEX Robotics Competition program. These programs will be able to provide more opportunities for these age levels and make the kids to robots ratio better to give a experience.

New Programs for all ages

VEX Robotics Competition Teams

Our 6-8th Grade teams have 26 students involved this season! The students are broken into 6 teams, 2 are all girl teams. Each team builds and competes with their own robots which are built out of VEX V5 Robot Parts. Teams have built their robots to compete in both robot and driver skills challenges and in 2-on-2 tournament competitions. These students learn to program in either a scratch based block program or in C++ programming. Each team will compete in the West Michigan Mega League along with 3 Qualifying Tournaments.

VRC Teams 61187C and 61187E Heading to Iowa

Three of our teams, 61187C, D, and E were all invited to the US C.R.E.A.T.E. Invitational in Iowa in April. Due to timing, one of our teams can't make it but we are excited to have team 61187C and 61187D being able to attend and compete with other Middle School teams from around the country. Good Luck Teams!
