SONIC SHOUTOUT

Week 6

Prepare for Lift-off!

We are two weeks away from our first competition and we could not be more excited! This week we are starting to see the fruits of our labor as the robot is being assembled.

This is our intake assembly mounted on the chassis of our robot this year. Part of the shooter assembly has been mounted as well.

Design Team

This week we have been going through the robot parts spreadsheet and making sure there are drawings for all of the parts. We revised some drawings that were already made and released as many drawings as possible. We have mainly focused on the frame, intake, shooter, ball delivery and entry systems.

Programming Team

The programming team continued to work on the pixycam. We worked on recognizing and filtering the balls and then wrote an autonomous program that finds the nearest color ball and goes to its location for intake. We also worked on creating a state machine for the robot, that works to detect and move the ball through the robot.

Build Team

We made a lot of parts on the CNC the mill and lathe this week. We started to build the different assemblies of the robot, and finished assembling the ball entry, ball delivery and part of the shooter systems. We then started to mount assembles onto the robot. So far we have the intake and part of the shooter assembly on the chassis.
